What Notifications Does Stronghold Send?

Notifications to Retail Customers

1: Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) SMS Notification

Trigger: If a customer’s bank account balance drops below the order amount during the 3-day ACH settlement then Stronghold sends the following text message notification.

Subject: Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Notification

Hi <FirstName>,

You recently made a purchase for the amount of <$Amount>. We were unable to process the payment as your bank account had an insufficient balance and will continue to collect the payment over the coming days.

Please keep in mind that you will not be able to make any ACH (bank debit) purchases at this retailer until the above payment has been received. Once we have successfully completed payment we will SMS you after 5 days to confirm you can make ACH payments again.

2: Successful Collection SMS Notification

Trigger: If funds that were not initially collected because of non sufficient funds are subsequently collected successfully by Stronghold then Stronghold will follow up with this notification.

Hi <FirstName>,

We have been able to successfully complete the outstanding payment for your purchase for the amount of <$Amount>. You are once again able and welcome to make ACH (bank debit) purchases at this retailer.

Paylink Related Notification

A Stronghold paylink is a hyperlink to a Stronghold webpage where a customers can pay for their order. Paylinks can be delivered via an SMS message, email, QR code, kiosk, etc. Stronghold Direct in the Stronghold dashboard currently support SMS, Email or QR code. Stronghold’s integrated POS partners often have Stronghold deliver the paylinks via SMS (for Delivery/Pickup) or QR code (for in-store ACH). Most Stronghold merchants using a Stronghold integrated ecommerce send paylinks to their customers if they do not pay online so they can pre-pay from their mobile device.
